Creating Helm Channels

Select “Helm Channels” from the resources screen.

You will be directed to the Helm channels screen where you can see all the existing public and private Helm channels that are configured on Ozone based on the relevant tab that is selected.

a. Creating a public Helm channel

Toggle to the “Public Helm Channels” tab and click on “+ New Helm channel”. Add details like the name, URL of your public Helm channel, and an optional description. Click on “Submit” and the new channel should be visible under the public Helm channels view.

b. Creating a private Helm channel

Toggle to the “Private Helm Channels” tab and click on “+ New Helm channel”. Add details like the name, the provider of your private Helm channel, an optional description and click on “Submit”. The new channel should be visible under the private Helm channels view.

c. Adding provider for a private Helm channel

If you have not added a provider for the private Helm channel, you can click on the “Create Provider” link which is below the “Source” field as seen in the previous screenshot.

Add the name, am optional description, the source, username, personal access token, and the URL for the self-hosted provider. Post this, you will need to upload a signed certificate from the provider and click on “Create” after which, upon successful integration, the private Helm channel becomes visible in the respective list-view screen.
